INTEGRASI NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH: SEBUAH KAJIAN PUSTAKA

Abstrak

This study aims to examine the integration of character education values in thematic learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah through a literature review approach. Character education is an important aspect of the educational process because it plays a role in shaping students’ attitudes, morals, and personalities. Thematic learning is considered effective in integrating character values because it connects learning materials with students’ real-life experiences. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research method. The data sources were obtained from books, scientific journals, articles, and other relevant literature. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation, while data analysis used content analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that the integration of character education values is implemented through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. The dominant character values integrated include religiosity, discipline, responsibility, honesty, cooperation, tolerance, social care, and environmental care. The integration process is carried out through habituation, exemplary behavior, group discussions, and contextual learning activities. Supporting factors include teacher competence, positive school culture, and parental cooperation, while inhibiting factors include limited learning time and teachers’ understanding. Therefore, thematic learning has an important role in strengthening character education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
