Abstrak

This study analyzes the influence of fatherlessness on the social-emotional development of elementary school/Islamic elementary school (SD/MI) children through a literature review. It identifies contributing factors such as patriarchal culture, divorce, and fathers working far from home, while also formulating school-based learning strategies. Fatherlessness is consistently associated with emotional regulation disorders (anger, loneliness, low self-esteem), difficulties in social adaptation, and decreased self-confidence, in line with Erikson’s theory of Industry vs. Inferiority and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP, 2012) regarding emotional management and environmental exploration abilities. This study emphasizes the role of schools as compensatory spaces through group guidance, empathetic teacher approaches, and teacher-parent collaboration development.
