IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN NON FORMAL DALAM PEMERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI PUSAT KEGIATAN BELAJAR MASYARAKAT (PKBM) BUNGARAYA INDAH KABUPATEN SIAK SRI INDRAPURA

Abstrak

The Bungaraya Indah Community Learning Center (PKBM) in Kemuning Muda Village, Bungaraya Subdistrict, Siak Regency, was established in 2007 with the vision of eradicating illiteracy and reducing the dropout rate. This study used field observation to describe the institution’s profile, learning programs, facilities and infrastructure, and the learning delivery system. The results of the observation show that the Bungaraya Indah PKBM offers various equivalency programs (Packages A, B, and C), functional literacy courses, skills training, and a Community Reading Garden (TBM). This institution plays a significant role in improving the quality of human resources, expanding access to non-formal education, and fostering a culture of lifelong learning within the community. It is hoped that this article will contribute to the development of research on out-of-school education in Indonesia.
